Peran Manajemen Bimbingan dan Konseling Terhadap Kedisiplinan Siswa di SMK Budi Tresna Muhammadiyah Cirebon

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of Management Guidance and counseling on student discipline in SMK Budi Tresna Muhammadiyah Cirebon. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive type of research. In collecting the data, the researchers used interview, observation and documentation methods to obtain in-depth information about guidance and counseling management and student discipline. Student discipline is one of the important factors in creating a conducive learning environment and achieving optimal educational goals. Guidance and counseling management plays a role in shaping students ' disciplinary attitudes through a systematic and structured approach, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of counseling programs provided. The results showed that the discipline of students at SMK Budi Tresna Muhammadiyah was still lacking, judging from the number of students who always violate the existing rules, they consider discipline is not important. Students who often commit violations will be given sanctions in the form of reprimands or educational sanctions. Guidance and counseling management has a significant role in improving student discipline through counseling, individual and group counseling, and continuous motivation. In addition, good coordination between teachers and schools also strengthens guidance programs that support student discipline. This research is expected to contribute in the development of guidance and counseling programs that are more effective in improving student discipline.
