Peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam Pembentukan Karakter Siswa di Kecamatan Telukjambe Karawang

Abstract

Education plays a very influential role in shaping the character of students. Character education is an important aspect of the learning process in any field. However, character education must be shaped in part through Islamic religious education. Instilling character values as part of the vision, mission, and goals of an institution and striving to realize them through tangible activities is one of the strategies that can be applied in developing character education for students. This study aims to: 1) analyze the role of Islamic religion in shaping student character, 2) evaluate the challenges faced and the solutions offered. The method used in this study is a literature review, which is highly relevant for investigating and analyzing the role of Islamic religious education in shaping the character and ethics of students. This method allows researchers to conduct a comprehensive review of relevant literature, such as journals, books, articles, and other sources that have discussed how Islamic religious education influences the formation of student character and ethics. The research results show that the formation of student character through Islamic religious education can be carried out through: 1) education by example, 2) education through customs and habits, 3) education with advice, 4) education by giving attention, 5) education by giving punishment.
